It is Sylvain Parasie, university professor in sociology at Sciences Po and director of the médialab, and Olivier Alexandre, research fellow at the CNRS and deputy director of the Centre Internet et Société, who opened the event by introducing the subject and looking at the question: what social networks did we want?

After this introduction, Manon Berriche, a postdoctoral researcher at médialab, gave a presentation on the problems of information and communication disorders.

The first round table, entitled "What social networks did we want? What social networks do we have?" discussed the applications, developments and misuse of these platforms. The discussion was moderated by Francesca Musiani, director of research at the Centre Internet et Société, and brought together four speakers:

The event continued with the speech of Axel Meunier, research designer at médialab, who talked about developing moderating practices in the use of social networks.

The second round table, "What social networks will we have? What social networks do we want?" brought together five speakers who discussed regulations, technical developments and the future of social networks:

The conference ended with a conclusion by Sylvain Parasie and Olivier Alexandre by re-emphasising the fact that social networks are an integral part of everyday life and highlighting the elements of hope to be retained.

A big thank you to everyone present and to all the speakers for their rich and captivating discussions!
