Emmanuel Vincent

Emmanuel Vincent studies online misinformation in scientific fields such as climate change and health.

Laureate of the Make Our Planet Great Again grant, he joined the Sciences Po médialab in 2019 to lead research on the influence of web platforms that are widely used to access online information such as Google, Facebook, Youtube… on public understanding of scientific topics.

While the platforms have come under heavy criticism over the past few years for their support to the circulation of misinformation on massive scales, his objective is to study the impact of their policies against misinformation on public access to information and attitudes.

After a PhD in Oceanography and Climate and a post-doc at MIT studying hurricanes, Emmanuel decided to launch the Science Feedback non-profit to organize the scientific community to provide feedback on the scientific credibility of influential information and help increase the overall credibility of information available online.
