Within the FUTURE-Obs project, I develop machine learning–based methods to analyze social media discourses related to coastal environments.

Research Engineer

Imane Bayoub joined the Sciences Po médialab in October 2025 as a research engineering intern, as part of her final-year internship at ENSAE Paris, an engineering school specialized in statistics and data science.
After several internships focusing on the use of large language models (LLMs) for analyzing unstructured content, she is continuing this line of work within the FUTURE-Obs project, which investigates coastal socio-ecosystems through the study of discourses and practices related to marine environments. In this context, she develops machine learning methods to analyze social media uses and contents. The goal is to produce original indicators to better understand how coastal environments are perceived and to provide tools to support risk management and public policy.
Her broader interests include the application of statistical and machine learning methods to social and environmental issues.
