Conference with the authors of « Éthique et design - Pour un climat de soin »

To mark the release of the book « Ethics and Design - For a Climate of Care », the médialab organizes a conference with the authors of the book and researchers to discuss public policies and citizen initiatives addressing the challenges of architecture and design in creating a more habitable world.

At the crossroads of multiple fields, this book offers a deep reflection about the public policies and citizen initiatives, addressing the challenges of architecture and design in building a more habitable world. Organized by the médialab, this event will explore the key points of the book.

« Cet ouvrage collectif en forme de somme inédite interroge, par une approche pluridisciplinaire, la façon dont les politiques publiques et les initiatives citoyennes doivent mettre l’architecture et le design au service de l’habitabilité du monde, pour contribuer, face à l’urgence écologique et aux crises sociales, à l’édification de communs capables de résister à l’érosion démocratique et au tout marché. Parce que les disciplines et les méthodes de conception peuvent servir le changement  social, leur regard doit se poser d’emblée sur la vulnérabilité s’il veut soutenir les conditions d’une vie bonne, respectueuse de l’humain et du non-humain. Il s’agit là du premier ouvrage de référence sur le sujet, qui jette un pont entre les thématiques du territoire et du soin, et invite ses différents acteurs à devenir compagnons : à tisser collectivement un dialogue local, informé et argumenté entre design architecture, soin et éthiques du care »

Antoine Fenoglio (Author of the book  ; Designer, co-founder of the design studio the Sismo and Director of Experimentation at la Chaire de Philosophie à l'hôpital Sainte-Anne du GHU Paris psychiatrie et neurosciences)

Sophie Hooge (Researcher in innovation management and design at Centre de gestion scientifique de MINES Paris - PSL)

Nicolas Benvegnu (Sociologist at médialab Sciences Po. Director of the METIS project, an interdisciplinary training initiative that created new degrees in science and social sciences)
