Louise Labé: an invented author?
Florian Cafiero, Jean-Baptiste Camps, Simon Gabay
For several years, the idea that Louise Labé is only the figurehead of a few poets from Lyons has imposed itself as a plausible hypothesis among specialists of the 16th century. The present work therefore proposes to revive the discussion by means of stylometry, and calls into question the attribution of the work in verse by Labé to Magny.
