Rebecca Mühlhaus is a first-year student in the “Sociologie d'enquête” master's program at Université Paris Cité. She is doing a research internship from February to July 2025, under the supervision of Sylvain Parasie, as part of the medialab's MEDIALEX project. She is studying the role of social networks in the politicization of news stories, using qualitative coding.

In the context of her studies, Rebecca Mühlhaus is interested in ordinary relationships to politics through the prism of cultural and digital practices. During her bachelor's degree in sociology, she wrote a paper on the politicization of high school students through their digital cultural consumption. This year, her research paper focuses on ordinary manifestations of politics through a monographic study of a Parisian reading group.
