Paul Bouchaud (they/them) is a researcher conducting adversarial audits of online platforms to uphold platform accountability and safeguard informational ecosystems. Holding a PhD in algorithmic auditing delivered by EHESS, Paul combines academic research with expert advisory roles for civil society organizations, national and European institutions, and specializes in Digital Services Act enforcement.
Their research spans from algorithmic recommendation systems on Amazon, and engagement maximization effects on X, to propaganda operations within Meta's advertising ecosystem.
