On the sharing and circulation of software and research data in Open Science

The 46th session of MetSem, titled "On the sharing and circulation of software and research data in Open Science : the Borgman’s conundrum challenges", will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Event, MetSem seminar

Salle K.008, 1 Place St-Thomas d'Aquin, 75007 Paris

During this session of the MetSem seminar, studies conducted in collaboration with Teresa Gomez Diaz (data manager, CNRS) and Pr. Tomas Recio (University Nebrija, Madrid) will be presented. They will examine the concepts of research softwares and research data and the questions raised by this production inside their research labs, particularly the issues mentioned in the “Borgman’s conundrum challenges” : which data and softwares can be shared, by who and with who, in what conditions, why and to what effect? These questions arise in the evolving framework of Open Science. They will submit a diffusion procedure and CDUR evaluation protocols for research data and softwares. These studies benefit from the software production experience of the Laboratoire d’Informatique Gaspard-Monge (LIGM), and the Project PLUME (2006-2013).
