Event, MetSem seminar

Salle K.011, 1 place Saint Thomas d'Aquin 75007 Paris

The 52nd MetSem session will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2025, starting at 2pm. We will welcome Lucie Marie and William Feraux for a presentation of the ReQuest tool.

Session introduction

ReQuest  is the new CDSP's web application, offering centralized exploration of some 65 000 questions and variables from over 250 questionnaire surveys in the CDSP databank.

Designed to meet the needs of researchers, students, teachers and data professionals, ReQuest lets you navigate through the survey questions in the CDSP databank. The main features of ReQuest are:

  • a text search based on ElasticSearch, an OpenSource solution;
  • filters for refining the search;
  • the ability to compare identical and similar questions/variables available in the question database;
  • direct access to data available on the data.sciencespo.fr warehouse;
  • and a metadata export function.

The tool will be enriched, with the addition of new functionalities and new surveys until 2027. For future versions of this platform, the CDSP aims to integrate concepts into its survey metadata management, to align with recommended best practices in the field of data management.

Useful resource: For a detailed presentation of the tool, visit the CDSP website.
