Overview of the impact of digital research on the environment

For the first MetSem session, the theme will be the environmental impact of digital technology on research practices. 

The environmental consequences of digital technology are beginning just a few years ago. In this presentation, we'll outline the basic orders of magnitude of the environmental impact of digital technology on the rebound effect and the leverage effect, as well as some ideas for action to reduce these various impacts. A focus will be placed on the world of research via the way it is and some examples of subjects that could be studied to limit its impact.
