The SaLM (Socially-Aware Language Models) project is an interdisciplinary project between Inria Paris and Sciences Po that aims to redefine current NLP (natural language processing) algorithms based on LLM (large language models) by integrating social contexts into their development and evaluation. It highlights the importance of understanding language as a reflection of cultural and social identities.
