Liam Heaphy has a PhD in Architecture from the University of Manchester (2014), where he considered the application of climate modelling research on future urban climate to urbanism and planning policies in English cities.At médialab, Liam works on the FORCCAST project as an ingénieur pédagogique or teaching and learning specialist, concerned with mapping controversies as a teaching method. His shared responsibilities include the development of teaching scenarios for new teachers and students in universities, schools, and further education, and the provision of methods and tools suitable for a variety of classroom scenarios. He has also assisted with the teaching of mapping controversies at the University of Manchester and has worked on the FP7 project Mapping Controversies on Science for Politics (MACOSPOL).Prior to his doctoral studies, Liam attained a Diploma de Estudios Avanzados (similar to a 2 year Masters) at the Instituto de Estudios de la Ciencia y la Tecnología at the University of Salamanca, and was awarded a First Class Honours BA in Spanish and Philosophy from the National University of Ireland, Galway. In addition to his academic work, he has been employed in the private sector for many years in the IT industry.Publications – Google ScholarLiam joined médialab in january 2013 and left on june 2016.
