Abstract

This talk will discuss the network patterns of legislative collaboration that can be observed at the level of bill cosponsorship in several European parliaments. At the theoretical level, those interactions offer a unique perspective on partisan segmentation, ideological polarization, and their compound effects on legislative work. At the methodological level, the talk will discuss some of the challenges related to online data collection, network construction, and network modelling.
